Installing the Chart

To install the chart with the release name esphome

helm install esphome oci://ghcr.io/gabe565/charts/esphome

Traditional

helm repo add gabe565 https://charts.gabe565.com
helm repo update
helm install esphome gabe565/esphome

Uninstalling the Chart

To uninstall the esphome deployment

helm uninstall esphome

The command removes all the Kubernetes components associated with the chart including persistent volumes and deletes the release.

Configuration

Read through the values.yaml file. It has several commented out suggested values. Other values may be used from the values.yaml from the bjw-s common library.

Specify each parameter using the --set key=value[,key=value] argument to helm install.

helm install esphome \
  --set env.TZ="America/New York" \
    gabe565/esphome

Alternatively, a YAML file that specifies the values for the above parameters can be provided while installing the chart.

helm install esphome gabe565/esphome -f values.yaml

Custom configuration

Devices Show as offline

ESPHome may have trouble finding your local devices due to your Kubernetes DNS configuration. If so, set the following values:

  ESPHOME_DASHBOARD_USE_PING: "true"

dnsConfig:
  nameservers:
